Can you reduce the chance of experiencing an adverse reaction?

Taking prescription medications to help reduce or manage health symptoms you are experiencing is a great way to help you feel better significantly faster than if you had tried on your own. However, each time you have your pharmacist in Kentucky fill a prescription on your behalf, you are at risk of experiencing side effects or in serious cases, an adverse reaction to the drug you are taking.

Listed side effects may not affect you at all. However, if you notice that you are extra tired or that your stomach is a bit irritable and both are listed as possible side effects, you may be able to work with your doctor to manage the side effects as you finish out your round of antibiotics. An adverse reaction on the other hand, is when a drug acts completely unlike it was described. This can be the result of a faulty advertisement, a mix-up in the prescription, incorrect potency or dosage amounts of the medication you were given, a reaction to another drug you are already taking or even because the drug itself is ineffective.

According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, one of the most important things you can do to circumvent an adverse reaction is to verify all of the information your doctor provided with your pharmacist when you pick up your order. You should also be aware of how to properly ingest the drug and under what conditions its consumption could be dangerous. If you experience a serious reaction, you should notify the FDA.
